PlayStation Home Gets An Update

Shortly after a slew of invitations for the PlayStation Home beta went out to PS3 owners, Sony has added some much needed new features to the virtual party!

Home now allows you to access Xross Media Bar so that users will be able to see if their friends are online and send and receive messages.

The XMB update is cool and all, but by far, the most fun update is this: before in Home, you could only walk and/or meander. NOW, you can run! You can run around to your hearts content. This should come in handy when some you get into virtual trouble with the fuzz, want to train for a virtual marathon or are about to get virtually mugged.

However, there are plenty of other things you can't do in Home, like be an Orc or Gremlin.
