Madden 08 Has New Weapons
You already know that Madden is the most immersive football game there is. Well, now, it's going to be even more so, as EA is rolling out a whole bunch of new "weapons" when Madden '08 is released in August. These weapons will allow your runners to be slicker and more elusive, your scat backs to be faster, your shutdown corners to be even more sticky, and your elite receivers to make catches you can only dream of.
In short, it's another way to make it feel like you're actually playing the game.
Some of the maneuvers, like the 'Accurate QB' with your precision quarterback, are tough to pull off in a game situation, while others, like using the hit stick to jar the ball loose from a player who carries it, are a little easier. Still others, like "pancaking" the defense with your offensive lineman, is so on the periphery that no one might ever use it. It's good to know, however, that it's there.
